Colombo Dockyard gets repair orders from Indian companies
Colombo Dockyard, Sri Lanka-based major engineering facility leading in ship repairs, heavy and offshore engineering, has announced that it has won a contract from Indian shipping company Pratibha Shipping Co. As per sources, the order has been placed for repairing ships.
The sources further informed that Indian conglomerate had sent two tankers for dry-docking repairs in mid-June and early July. The work has since been finalized, the company said without mentioning the size of the contract in value terms.
Recently, Pratibha Shipping, has sent a third tanker for repair at the yard in Colombo port.
As per reports of media, the conglomerate has also secured a contract from Singapore- based Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels for establishing vessels for around Sri Lankan Rupees 7 billion ($60 million).
