Orsova shipyard concludes 10 new building contracts

Orsova shipyard’s managing board has validated the signing of 10 external contracts on shipbuilding, totally worth 13,822,600 euros, with delivery in 2009 and 2010, the Bucharest Stock Exchange reports in a release. According to BVB, out of the overall amount of the contracts, 1.9 million euros are two agreements with Dutch Combi Ship Construction BV and aims the building and delivery of two river ships.
Nearly 5.5 million euros is the value of other 5 contracts signed by Orsova Shipyard with another Dutch firm, Rensen Driessen Shipbuilding BV.
The contracts’ goal is the construction and delivery of five river tankers for freight transport with a length ranging between 86 and 110 meters.
Other two contracts were signed with two Dutch companies - Jiskoot BV and Anaconda Tankvaart C.V, valued at 2.2 million euros, respectively 1.848 million euros and one German company Erlenbacher Schiffswert Maschinen - und Stahlban GmbH - worth 2.430 million euros.
