COSCO Shipyard and CCS sign cooperation agreement
COSCO Shipyard Group has announced that it has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Classification Society (CCS). In a statement to the press, the shipyard said, “Along with the business expansion, COSCO Shipyard will continue to increase their technical development and innovation in ship newbuilding and offshore engineering business. The strategic cooperation agreement represents a chance for COSCO Shipyard to develop an advanced construction quality control and inspection regime with CCS.”
According to the cooperation agreement, CCS will provide technical support to COSCO Shipyard in many aspects such as technical communication, regulations and principals, new types of vessel development, coating technology and international cooperation.
