Bunker news(2008.11.27)
* Fuel oil has increased rapidly while MDO/MGO remain unchanged.
* Genuine IFO380cst is now availaible at Keelung, so the posted price at Keelung is the same as
Kaohsiung, effective immediately.
* For anti-pollution purpose, CPC required the nominated vessels to deploy oil boom before bunker
supply by barge at Kaohsiung, the charge is reduced to USD 117 per bunker order effective
on 01/Nov/08 onwards.
* Barge at Suao has to undergo routine maintenance for about 2 months and won’t be available for bunker
delivery service after 20th October. The terminal will arrange truck delivery for the bunker order. The time
required for delivery will be much longer than usual. Pls make sure you plan your bunker order at Suao
accordingly. Bunker order of qty above 200 MT will be subject to acceptance by CPC.
* MDO delivery at Taichung resume as usual. There is temporary not be supplying genuine IFO380cst at
Taichung. Pricing for IFO380cst will be the same as IFO180cst, orders for IFO380cst will be also supplied
with IFO180cst. In order to ensure reliability of delivery, CPC may not accept bunker nomination with less
than 3 days advance notice at Taichung due to only one barge is available, so it is advisable to place
order earlier for any requirement.
* New specs for MGO (sulphur 50ppm) at Mailiao will be effective from 01 Sept, 2008 onwards.
* There is only IFO180cst and MGO available at Mailiao, no supply of MDO after April, 2008.
* From 01/Jan/2008 onwards, CPC will only compensate claim of quantity shortage due to difference in
density of BDR vs binding test when the difference is more than 0.5%.
* CPC Taipei announced to change daily order closing time from 1700LT to 1630LT effective immediately,
any late order will be handled on best endeavour basis, otherwise, will be charged at the next day’s price.
* With immediate effect, the name of Chinese Petroleum Corporation has been changed to CPC Corporation,
Taiwan.
* The bunker specification is accordingly to CPC specs.
