TS Lines to start Mideast service, to expand intra-Asia
TS LINES plans to deploy six 2,546- to-3,100 TEU vessels to operate its Middle East service with a 42-day sailing in the following rotation: Tianjin, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Port Kelang, Jebel Ali, Bandar Abbas, Penang, Port Kelang, Hong Kong, Qingdao.
After it deployed a 1,800-TEU vessel to launch the CKI service together with Sinokor and Heuna-a in July, it will deploy a 2,000-TEU ship this month to operate China-1 service with Yang Ming, Evergreen and CNC. The rotation for China-1 is Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Philippines, Jakarta, Surabaja, Philippines, Hong Kong and back to Qingdao.
The company and Yang Ming, will each deploy a 1,800-TEU vessel to operate the JSS service with the following rotation: Hong Kong, Shekou, Xiamen, Nagoya, Tokyo, Yokohama, Keelung, Taichung, Hong Kong. It also will increase slots on the JKM service operated with Yang Ming and CNC.
TS lines will acquire space shares in its TS Korea and TS Singapore to launch KMS service and new Middle East service, said a company statement.
