Hill Dickinson Appoints John Gittins As Non-Executive Director
International commercial law firm Hill Dickinson has announced the appointment of John Gittins as non-executive director.
John joins the firm with a wealth of experience, having previously worked with Electricity North West and United Utilities in non-executive roles, as well as holding concurrent roles with Nichols plc, Park Group plc and Claire House Children’s Hospice. He also has over 20 years’ experience working with PLCs in an executive capacity, operating as chief financial officer across a number of sectors within UK listed, multi-site, national and international businesses.
The appointment has been made following a management restructure that resulted in former non-executive director, Iain Johnston being appointed as chief operating officer. The restructure also saw Peter Jackson taking on the role of chief executive officer and David Wareing becoming chairman.
As part of his role, John will focus on governance, risk management and financial controls and head up the firm’s audit committee.
Commenting on John’s appointment, Hill Dickinson chairman, David Wareing, said: “We are delighted that John has accepted the position. John will sit on the LLP Board in an advisory capacity, bringing with him years of experience of working with a range of businesses including PLCs and international companies. He will be a valued addition to the firm as we continue with our plans for further investment in our key growth sectors.”
The international law firm has offices in Liverpool, Manchester, London, Piraeus, Monaco, Singapore and Hong Kong.
