Guinea Shipping Corporation starts up from HK, Conakry
THE Guinea Shipping Corporation (GSC), a joint-venture of Hong Kong's Corporate Capital Consultants and Societe Navale Guineenne (SNG), the state-owned shipping company of Guinea has secured a contract to transport raw materials from the West African nation to customers worldwide.
The company will focus on managing and operating ocean bulk carriers to ship bauxite and alumina as well as other minerals from Guinea to international markets.
"GSC will provide a quality driven service to our customers in Guinea. We are looking to build a modern fleet and we are in the process of securing suitable vessels and financing," said GSC chief executive Henrik Christensen in a company statement.
